Name one other SEC school that, if the HC position was opened, would have Ed O in their top 3. No flame. No trap. Honest question of your opinion.
Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri
But that's it
Keeping O is not a great idea

All you will here is crickets on the question you asked.
They should anser as follows.
1) I like his accent
2) He is cajun
3) He is from LA
That would be honest answers. They try to be slick and say he learned from his mistakes like we are just suspose to believe it.
Go to a smaller school. Earn your way and build that program then I am all in on CEO.
Until then the rant can kick rocks.

He's been on staff the last two years as well, so he has the pulse of the team. It's not like they pulled him straight off the street to interim.

I can't believe it's even an option, but I shouldn't be surprised with this fan base

Truer words have never been spoken like this.

I got news for you. With the exception of his failure at Ole Miss as a HC (which he's owned and learned from), his resume is pretty damn impeccable. Couple that with his strong Louisiana ties.
Right, so with the exception of the only time he's been a head coach being an abysmal failure, he's great! In other words, his resume is awful, at least as it pertains to being the head man.

Is everything on PJ just based on is turn around of Western Michigan?

Now they will down vote. Not because you didn't state anything they know themselves but because you don't agree with them and have blinders on.

He's not just another flavor of the month guy:
- his energy is higher than even O's
- he is a phenomenal recruiter
- he understands not only how to build a program but also the need to constantly change and improve to avoid falling behind
- his locker room speeches are better than anything I've ever heard and,
- communicates extremely well with millenials, not just as a recruiter and motivator but on the field as a teacher of the game

Good stuff. What has been said if anything about his interest in LSU? I have heard his name mentioned with Purdue.
Posted on 10/19/16 at 5:54 pm to Captain Crown
Nothing has been said but the assumption obviously is that he would agree to come here

Doesn't matter.
We want a D-Line coach who is from LA and who can recruit. Nothing else matters.

I mean....that's a PRETTY frickING BIG question mark, is it not? It's not like they were middling. They were offensively bad.

IF it wasn't CEO and he wasn't from LA , would LSU even consider hiring another guy with a similar resume?
Of course not. If his name was Ed Jones we'd never be having this discussion. It's ridiculous.

David Cutcliffe was a shitty recruiter, that's why he was fired
Then O comes in improves recruiting, doesn't win many games, fired after 3 years
Nutt comes in takes O's recruits, goes to back to back cotton bowls then the talent leaves and he runs the program into the ground. That 11 team was worse than any of CEO teams
So who know what happens if he gets a 4th year
Ole miss also had a bad AD at the time, bad facilities, and boosters that wouldn't spend money
O shouldn't be first or second choice but I think he would do well here

Besides him saying he learned from it, how are we to believe this right now?

His resume isnt impeccable for the head coaching job at a top 5 college.
