I'm on the fence on Orgeron
If he finishes with just 1 loss, then I don't see how you can't take him serious as far as hiring him. He's made necessary changes and we've seen that on the field so far.
I don't think LSU has the QB to beat Alabama, but I do think they win the rest of their games.
With that said, people are continue bringing up the Ole Miss job as if people don't continue to learn the craft over the years. As if he's the same guy he was at Ole Miss.
Orgeron has the same chance at being successful as he does at being unsuccessful just like any other coach they hire, IMO. He could be unsuccessful just as easy he could be as successful like Dabo did with Clemson.
Swinney was a year removed from being a Wode Receivers coach at Clemson when he was handed the job.
No one is a home run hire.

Stop with the "if he wasn't Cajun" crap. That shite is way overblown. I'm fairly positive the admin didn't go up to him and say "oh, since you're from Louisiana, we will hand you the job."
In his last 10 interim HC games, he's 8-2.
But that doesn't fit th narrative as far as "his team." I'm not sure how none of you realize the amount of talent he and the rest of that staff could and would bring in.

That's impressive
And yes he has a good interim record but honestly he has played some shite teams in the majority of those games. He did beat a top 5 Stanford team I'll give him that, but he had a lot more talent than the other teams he played, and he got beat pretty badly by UCLA if Im remembering correctly

To add, I think it's foolish to think that Orgeron is the same coach he was at Ole Miss. After 10 years in the same profession, if someone never changes and doesn't grow with experience, then they should probably look at themselves in The mirror.

Well, if he were doing the same things like he was doing at Ole Miss and as bad as a HC he is even after that, one would think his record would be, at minimum, .500

Then O comes in improves recruiting, doesn't win many games, fired after 3 years
Nutt comes in takes O's recruits, goes to back to back cotton bowls then the talent leaves and he runs the program into the ground. That 11 team was worse than any of CEO teams
So who know what happens if he gets a 4th year
Ole miss also had a bad AD at the time, bad facilities, and boosters that wouldn't spend money
O shouldn't be first or second choice but I think he would do well here

As I've said, i believe he'll be better here than he was at OM, but I just don't see him being better than an 8 or 9 win coach...and if he ever misses on a coordinator hire then it could get ugly in a hurry
