Scared to ask. Do we really want to know who it is?

Was listening 97.1FM in Detroit earlier, their sources say UM will not wait on Harbaugh until season is over to make up his mind. Also, fwiw, they were talking to a Beat Writer for UM and He said they're going to throw $8 mil/year at Harbaugh and make him say no. I can't see UM laying out $10mil/year for Harbaugh + Staff.

Why don't you just say 0 Fer last 4 against Bama. That's the only team that fits your statement.

I'd say it fits Auburn and Georgia as well. We haven't exactly been world beaters outside of 2011 against ranked teams period.

I wouldn't be completely upset. Not a lot of great candidates this year but I also think we are going to be 8-4 or 9-3 the rest of his tenure here.

I think we're set for the next two seasons actually. I'd think Miles or any competent coach could get 10 wins next season..

Great chance to start 8-0.. early road game win at Miss St and beat Auburn at home. South Carolina has some serious problems on defense. We get WKU, then BYE, then the meat of the schedule @Bama and Arkansas back to back. Then Ole Miss and the Aggies.

LSU Bama is going to be a 9-6 type of game and it may be lower scoring than that. Arkansas is going to be tough.

No possible way Miles to Michigan. Detroit is on the way to becoming a third world country city. The economy there is worse than any in the country with no possible hope of a turnaround. Competing against Urban Meyer and Dantonio at age 62 when you're only 2 - 4 years from retiring with 20 million in the bank makes absolutely no sense.

Will miss on both, and settle for Pelini or Muschamp.

If there's one thing no one should dispute about Miles, it is this: He thrives on coaching against the best and watching his team compete against the best. He absolutely loves it.

If he were to go to Michigan, those 2 games would be his favorite 2 days of the year. Miles might not beat them regularly. But, he sure as heck isn't scared of them.

Getting a coach who's 60+ to rebuild a program smells disaster. Miles should know this too!

Why not? He is the closest to a sure thing they could possibly hire. They will make their money back and a whole lot more if Jim takes them to the top of the B1G and into annual CFP contention.

We were the only team to beat them in 2013 (minus the NC Game).

Les Miles OWN words less than a year ago.

Want to retract now?

Weems and LSU's search committee were concerned with the Michigan factor. Miles had played offensive guard at Michigan under legendary coach Bo Schembechler and coached under him and under Schembechler's successor Gary Moeller. Miles even talked like Schembechler. Weems asked him if Michigan – aka Mama – called after he was at LSU.
"I'll never forget what he said," Weems said. "He had that twinkle in his eye as he often does and said, 'Why would anybody leave LSU to go to Michigan?' I knew we had our guy."
