Underwhelming

There is a reason no big team has touched him for the last 6 years.

We are about to find out why

Pulled that out of their arse. Campbell should have been one of the first calls made. Flabbergasted that they thought Sitake was a better fit/hire than Campbell.

Solid hire, not entirely sure the difference from Franklin, but there’s upside. The timeline murdered their recruiting though so I hope their fans are patient.

Probably should have made that hire a month ago but that is a surprisingly good result. Was hoping they would take BK.

As bumpy as this search has been, that’s a very nice recovery.

It will be interesting to see what they agreed to pay. They were seemingly pinned into such a corner that they had no choice but to overpay for someone with at least some degree of success.

That doesn't hurt as much as it used to. A good portal class can wipe that out, it's just going to cost more in 2-3 years.

I actually think PSU lucked out by getting him. He is a great coach and has high character. I think he is the perfect fit for PSU and they will realize in a few years they were lucky to strike out on higher profile names.

Really shocked he is leaving Iowa State. Seemed like a "pine box" guy.

James Franklin is a great coach with high character. Idk this just screams underwhelming and more of the same coming for them

If LSU had hired Campbell I’d have been PISSED

Campbell gets his last big bag before they know he’s a nice average coach

REALLY good hire IMO.

Not much different from Ames, just more isolated, and he will be able to do his thing mostly under the radar. Just don't putz around like Franklin
