Geez. Easy there killer. I was just pointing out something I found funny and ironic. I wasn't complaining about these threads (they are entertaining and informative) just pointing out the obvious irony of saying Bama fans are taking all this way too seriously and are too invested in this.

I don't understand why they are mad. Saban has an unprecedented offer from UT. the biggest offer ever made to a football coach on any level. There is a chance he will take it.
All the flight tracking BS is just fun stuff we have done on this board since it was launched in 2007.

I get your point.
I guess many Bama fans are so influenced by their tradition, it's hard for them to see how anybody can't be overwhelmed by it.
But really it's been about the money in CFB for years now. Reality.

I think they're just mad at all the trolling personally. That explains the comments on the Bama board at least. No one likes having their faces rubbed in it with such fervor especially while it's happening.

ETA: On a somewhat more somber note - how is security at the Big Coop? They've poisoned trees, committed sexual assault (after a win, no less) and shot each other over individual games.
I would beef up the guard dogs, get some good equipment to test your feed buckets as they come in and just basically keep an eye out for hawks wearing crimson and/or script As.

Well, to be fair, this board has always been a speculative board. It's never been taken as serious as Bama fans are doing now. It's not like we're running to the Bama board and trolling. It's a board for any coaching change and it just so happens that the biggest spectacle in a decade is going on at the expense of the good Bama posters.

Talked to my source this morning.
Austin house was actually bought two months ago and the Texas oil man booster bought "40 million" in debt from bad business deals saban has made in the last 10 years. Said saban WAS "up to his eyeballs in debt". That's been taken care of and will be worked into his contract. But it's a done deal at this point. He will be the next Texas coach. UT has made him "free and clear".
Look for something to be confirmed "within the next 10 days"

Doc, you're good people, but if any of that is true then UT is the dumbest fricking program on the planet. That would make his contract worth in the neighborhood of $200 million. That's a helluva gamble.
