I can see the concern if he has internally not responded to the extension. As far as publicly talking about Texas Saban is doing the right thing by not saying anything. At this point that job is not open.

Fist they came for Saban and I did not speak out because I was not a Spartan fan.

I would love to see the meltdown in Bama land, but I still don't think he leaves. I can tell you this, if he does, the computers at the station where PF does his show will explode! Would truly be an EPIC day!

And then LSU fans will be able to say we tried to tell you and Alabama fans will have to acknowledge LSU fans had a point all along. Granted, I think the silent majority of Bama fans realize Saban is and always was a hired gun given his track record. It's the message board and talk radio sycophants that give the false impression that most Bama fans don't understand this. There is also the wildcard of the hope from Alabama fans that he may have learned his lesson after walking away from the great setup he had at LSU and that he wouldn't make that mistake twice.

Bama fans have gone through all the stages of grief these past two days. I went over to their team board last night just to see what they're saying and every single one of them thinks this message board is why the rumor started. They are planning an all out assault on the site should Saban stay. A lot of them have posted that they will flame until they're banned. They're taking this shite waaaay too seriously.

Not trying to call you out specifically but I LOLed when you said "they are taking this stuff WAY too seriously" as if this board with 100+ page flight tracker threads and several other multiple page threads all dedicated to Saban isn't doing the same. I'd say TD.com may be even more invested than even the Bama boards.

I'm from La, but graduated from another University. So, I'm a little more objective, though I admit I pull for LSU.
All I'm saying is that it's just time for people to realize that he's not a man whose word can be trusted.

We've tracked flights on this board since '07. No one here made anything up. It's all shite that's been out. Maybe your fellow fans should learn to appreciate that Chicken gave them a free board to be on and even locked it for them. LSU fans don't have that luxury. And fwiw, the only reason the SECr exists is because of the influx of flaming Bama fans once Saban got there so y'all have no one to thank for this shite but yourselves.

The child comparison was simply to make an analogy. Surely, you understand the point I was making. We're inexperienced when we grow up and older children often roll their eyes at their parents especially when he kid feels the parents are being too strict or overbearing or worrying too much. The parent says you'll understand one day when you have your own children. You grow up and have your own kids and then you finally get it. You now have a perspective you wouldn't have had otherwise.

It's a perfect analogy. I will say that this one is a lot worse than when Saban left LSU or Miami. He didn't have comments from a 60 minutes piece, ESPN interview, etc, for people to throw back in his face.

If you been listening to his wife and agent then saban been gone for a while. Nothing point to him staying at bama right now.
