It means that he believes it's someone that is already associated with the program, or has been in the past. Stoops, Venables, etc...

Announce also means that homeslice might not be there in person.
Introduction implies a body will be present. Sounds like they are trying to salvage their recruiting class before it get's ravaged.

Greg McElroy said the same thing and I agree. I mean it could be a good hire, but hes making 1 million more per year as a first time head coach than your previous coach that went to 3 playoffs.

They're not. People never learn. We'll know who their coach is a few hours before OU does anything formal.
I'll also eat my hat if it's actually Burnt Vegetables. That rumor was incredibly obviously "some random guy on twitter" getting blown up before the press conference.

This is exactly how Bob Stoops was introduced 23 years ago today. They know the fanbase is subdued right now, so maybe that will help excite some. It all depends on who is introduced though.
