With Jenkins retiring and Meatball moving to D-line, are we going to hire a new OLB coach or let Aranda coach all the LBs (or have some other division of duties) and hire a ST coach? Or are teams going to get that 10th assistant finally and we’ll have both?

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I’ve been trying to keep up with the board but it’s been a busy week.

10th assistant is coming, will be ST coach.
No word yet on what will be done with OLB.

Orgeron has already said that when the 10th coach goes into effect, Greg McMahon will be the special teams coach.

Why? Because the Saints special teams were bad last year? He had been in New Orleans since 2006 and for the most part, special teams were solid.

If ole miss players get released by NCAA, shea Patterson' s brother would make a good assistant for 1 year.

Meatball to d-line coach is a scary bad decision, promoting a completely unproven coach to such an important position

I thought I read that it was likely that the OLB duties would be absorbed under O/Aranda, McMahon would be the 9th spot, and new/10th spot would be dedicated to a QB coach.

if you've been at all familar with the saints, you'd know people have been calling for McMahon's head for a while but was one of SP's untouchables despite the shite results.

Not to mention he gives you nothing on the recruiting trail

too much of that on this staff.

I'll say that if/when Jimbo takes the a&m job, LSU needs to be keen on how he will fill his staff, which will certainly be filled with dynamite recruiters across the board. this has to be countered somehow by LSU.

If you knew shite, and watched one practice video. O spends most of his time with the DL and meatball has learned under O and Jenkins and is is one of the best recruiters on staff.

O, and Raymond are elite
So is Thomas
T. Rob is good
Meatball is proving to be really good, maybe even elite. He's doing good work in Tangi, and NELA
Ensminger is underrated as a recruiter
Joseph is ok - need to upgrade here
Aranda and Canada are both ok
Mcmahon is a horrible hire as a recruiter
The other coach they hire needs to be elite.

After Bush and Sproles left the only good and consistent thing about Saints ST was Morstead.

Stop panicking over the news. Orgeron will be by his side.

I'm pretty sure Ed will coach the defensive line.
