That would set a horrible precedent, and O needs as much continuity as he can get to be successful. Hiring a coach for one recruit is a terrible decision, and something O did at Ole Miss.

Not worried about Meatball. Actually like that move. McMahon is perfect for a shadow staff role w the likes of Kragthorpe and Jenkins. We need a guy with La/Tx or FL recruiting ties.

Saints ST under McMahon were putrid. He is one of the worst ST coaches I've ever seen at the NFL level. Payton just had misguided loyalty to anyone who was on the 2009 staff/team.

Ensminger is underrated as a recruiter
Joseph is ok - need to upgrade here
Aranda and Canada are both ok
Mcmahon is a horrible hire as a recruiter
The other coach they hire needs to be elite.
Thomas will no longer be able to recruit off campus once the current vacancy is filled.
ETA: Unless they’re going to hire someone else they know is a liability and fudge things around to get another waiver.

It's always a good idea to hire a buddy on your employers' dime to be terrible at his job.
Should have just kept Peveto. At least he gave you some recruiting expertise.
