Maybe so I'm not getting in that arguement… point there is that Hudspeth turned down OM and if Mullen leaves he is pretty much a lock for MSU. He is a better coach than Mullen too imo. Just another coach OM wouldn't be able to get.

My thinking is there aren't a lot of hot coaching candidates out there except Malzahn, Leach, Smart, and Sumlin. Leach is going to WSU, Malzahn possibly to UNC or Tenn if dooley is fired. Smart or Sumlin to Texas A&M. Leaves very little good candidates for OM.

They should of waited till this week to decide onNutt imo, just to wait and see who is available and interested and what jobs are out there competing with your opening. OM may have to take a shot at an unproven coach who may shite the bed, or hire someone's leftovers such as Sherman who wouldn't do any better than Nutt imo. The schools that recently fired coaches have already made more progress in finding a new coach in a week than OM has in a month.

True, that's kind of my point in this thread. At first looked like OM would make a decent hire but it's starting to look like they will shite the bed and get another mediocre coach. May have jumped the gun a little soon, I get the feeling ya'lls Athletic Dept. made little contact with any coaching candidates before firing Nutt.
