starting this morning- Merlins was given 48 hrs to decide on the Penn St job- his agent has advised him not to take it- so says another coach. Said coach doesnt think he will and is at State to stay for 5 more years

Mississippi cant hire a coach because they are all wanting other jobs and putting them off. Fedora was given till Monday to make a decision, and Archie is kinda pissed he put him off

Sumlin will be going to A&M

Hud's offer by Tulane has been upped- but he is waiting on Merlin's decision

No offense, but Ole Miss is a much better job than Miss St.

Miss St. may have an inside track on a guy like Hudspeth, but beyond that, Ole Miss will attract the better coaches.

I will bite, but only because I fricking hate corndogs

I would say they are equal jobs, with Ole Miss a lesser job over the last ten years because of their outrageous expectation to go along with their propensity to fire coaches quickly. This is of course outside of Orgeron who was in fact a moron.

Only idiots say that

9-10 wins is the ceiling for both- last 20 years proves that

Both fight constantly to be the 9th best SEC football program

both are trying to improve facilities to keep up with the big boys

There is nothing in the last 20 years that screams "better job" about Mississippi

People say this a lot. What about our expectations are outrageous?

propensity to fire coaches quickly

Nutt got two losing seasons before he was canned. O got THREE losing seasons before he was canned. That's not "quick," that's about average as far as college coaching goes.

I know, I know, Cutcliffe. Whatever.

Better facilities. Bigger salary. Better recruiting classes (demonstrating that it's easier to recruit to Ole Miss). Better national exposure.

Need we do this again?
