There's no way that can be right. They've already made up their mind. Why wait 1 more day when they've been discussing this for months and a ton the last week I'm sure?

If they want to wait until they know they have a deal with a new guy, it's perfectly reasonable that the process of getting that ironed out is taking longer than they would like.

I'm thinking they are trying to get Miles and candidate C out there (Patterson?)'s interests. Balas ruled out an NFL coach being the next head man last night. So Hoke looks like a fall back guy to me.

From what I've heard (apparently it was posted by an insider on the WVU message boards), he was already given the chance to do that, tried to get Casteel again, and was turned down, again. He then told Brandon if he wanted to switch schemes and give the coordinator full control of the defense, he'd need an extension and Brandon told him no.
Why this decision is now being continued on for another day is seriously stupid.
