There is probably some number that could be put on the contract that won't get signed off on, but it could be $10MM and it wouldn't matter. The real number is $0 because the system is designed to make it $0.

Looks like he gets $500k if he wins.

ETA: Or is the cookie monster someone other than Ed Orgeron? I just assumed that's who it was

How many G5 coaching contracts have you looked at recently that makes you such an expert on coaching incentives?

I'm sure it's a standard incentive amount for an unrealistic accomplishment for coaches at this level. Maybe even slightly above average.

I have reviewed and played a part in writing 13 different G5 coaching contracts. How about you buddy?

Rob Sale is a good hire for recruiting. He's from North LA and coached previously at ULM. He also played at LSU, and coached under Saban for 5 years. I'm also excited that he'll serve as "Offensive Coordinator" and OLine Coach. With Coach Napier calling plays and being the de facto OC it gives us a lot of flexibility with our coaching staff.

People are saying that Coach Napier is working on an impressive hire for DC. I haven't heard any names though.

Just went look a skip holtz contract

He would get $150,000 if he won the national championship

He also just won 4 straight bowl games. How much did ull pay Hud to have those wins vacated?

No, no, no. Karl Dunbar should be number one on that list.

His son (recent Cajun DT alum) is coaching with him at bama as a GA. You would need to hire both to have any shot

I don't know if you would necessarily need to hire both to have a shot. Maybe Karl just wants to be back close to his family in Plaisance. Karmichael can finish is GA work and grad school at Bama.

I was talking more about the absurdity of even listing a national championship as an option. even more hilarious is that he would only get 250k for something that is impossible. they should have put it as a $1... or maybe $1 billio

So...if this is the guy we wanted, and his agent said “We want a line item of an extra bonus should he win a NC”, we should tell him to hit the road, no can do because it will never happen??

I knew Opelousas had some stupid people, but jeez...

That would mean his agent is stupid, not a person from Opelousas that knows that it is impossible for him to win a NC at ULL.

I get it... Lafayette people want to be relevant so bad.... try to win the sunbelt first. Up to this point the most you have ever done is write a nasty letter to ESPN because they use the wrong logo for your team on a weekly basis.
