Holy cow.

LSU stole Notre Dames coach.

And 50 years after Tiger fans used to work themselves into a frenzy thinking they were stealing Ara Parseghian.

Bunch of BS. How about pulling some major OL/OT prospects from the Mid-West or other parts of the country? Get that OL piece lined up with all of the LA/East TX skill players, a top notch QB (Howard), and a solid defense. This is the recipe for the next national title dinner. Kelly is a great hire for the future of this program!

exactly what ive been thinking. what our team has always lacked is the big midwest OL kids. If Kelly can bring those kids here to DBU were gonna be really good

Who “fit” LSU better than Orgeron?

Good coaches are good coaches. He’ll need guys on his staff that have strong ties in the area because SEC recruiting is no holds barred if he wants to get the type of players he couldn’t get at ND. But the whole “fit” thing is overblown.

Over the last decade the two best “fits” at LSU were Orgeron and Johnny Jones (basketball). Does anyone want them back?

He is a dog water HC — but his recruiting class this year is pretty up there & recruiting is the point that keeps being brought up.

Elko is the only thing keeping him above water right now. What happens when he leaves for a HC gig, possible this off-season?

I didn’t either. It’s an absolute coup.

After going 10-2 the year before. They had a cake schedule and could only win 4 games. Media thought he would be fired. Imagine Ed O going 4-8 this year but on!y playing Vanderbilt and Kentucky and Florida and Auburn and then the service Academies and Akron and Tulsa, Syracuse and Georgia Tech.

And has won 10+ games each season since the 4-8 season in 2016.

Ah yes the “good fit” narrative

Kinda like Orgeron was the “perfect fit” eh?

What kind of fit is Saban at LSU when he was hired?

Such a lazy argument by piss poor writers

Can any of those clowns think for themselves? All of them parrot the "not a good fit" line but that is bullshite and a complete canard. He's not coaching in Riyadh. Really embarrassingly stupid on the part of the media. Low IQ.

Yeah these are the same clowns that probably pushed Ed as the perfect fit here

I would like Kelly to hire some time recruiters to his staff but if Kelly can recruit there he can recruit here. Roster building and development are far more important as we’ve seen here.

Same way people still believe ND is a destination job. Living off the past and running with it.

Absolutely Bill. Certain media folks grasping at stuff to criticize bc you can’t question wins and losses tells you we just dropped our nuts all over college football

They would’ve loved another shite hire. In their eyes who the hell do we think we are hiring a guy like this from a place like Notre Dame

Agreed. That was a terrible year. What did he do from 2017-2021?

Oh that’s right, complete overhaul of his staff, all 10 win seasons, and 2 playoff births right? That seems kind of good

Bull shite. If he sandwiches a 4 win season with 10 win seasons and follow up that 4 win season to 5 straight 10 win seasons he’s not going on anywhere.

No one ever considered BK for any job seriously because no coach has been hired away from ND for over a hundred years...

CBK and LSU are exactly what the other needs, and no one saw this coming.

...and people here just yesterday afternoon were melting down that Woodward botched this. He dragged his nuts over everyone's face and they never saw it coming.
