I don't know what Orgeron is wanting. I know what his history would indicate he's wanting, but sources are all saying differently. Mike D called the Canada departure long ago. He is buddies with Orgeron, and he says that Ensminger will not be the OC. He was right before...
What is certain is that there's a lot of time to vet candidates. We really only have one offensive recruit left that may sign with us, so although the dead period ends Thursday night and OVs start again this next weekend, it's really np rush for the offensive side of the ball.
The "waiting on Sark" rumors is reminiscent of when O waited on Freshwater. I don't think he has the favor to d!ck around and wait on the one guy he wants this season, if that's even true. I wasn't sold on either of those guys, and I'm still not.
The one thing I know is that O will have effectively put the final nail in his own coffin if he screws this hire up. No amount of soccer mom and backwoods support can save him from himself if he botches a second straight OC hire. Weren't OC hires and meddling in the offense part of the main reasons that we fired Les? Why would the same red lines not be drawn for Orgeron?
*Digging a little into the Miles past here, I think Les made probably his best hire ever when he picked up coach Kragthorpe. Steve was brilliant and a stellar hire. For all the right reasons, I wish it could have worked out better for Coach Krag. And for more selfish reasons, I really feel like if it had worked out better for him, we very well might not be in the situation we are in right now.

You can think what you want but I'm telling you I talk with folks close to Ensminger and though he will publicly say he does not want the OC job this is not the case in private. He wants both the position and the pay check and is confident he can do a good job if given the opportunity. To add to that, he has the backing of Orgeron and some others in the admin which is a big feather in his cap.

I just want LSU to have a good, stable situation at OC. If it's Ensminger, I think he will do a better job than some on this board think. If it's somebody else, I wish them the best of luck too.
