Because when it comes to basketball, we love to live in the past.

here is the actual post from 4 years ago

LINK

You can see all the replies so it wasn't edited after the fact to show he was right or anything. Could be legit.

The issue is neither of those guys have a ton of incentive to come to LSU right now. If/when that bears out the question become what do you do next. That's where the problem lies because you'll have an outclassed President. A (likely) outclassed AD. And a bunch of rich egos in-fighting over what to do with a weak administration powerless to control them.

It's bit like asking an 18 year old how do they plan to support themselves for life? The first answer is win the lottery and become a multi-millionaire. But after that option they have no plan.

All of what you've said is very true and I'm concerned that we'll get the small fry in place ( prez and AD of McNeese) and miss on all the big fish. Then we'll really be up a creek.

the original post by Dan was:

Brian Kelly will be LSU's next HC.

You heard it here first. Woody has everyone following the Riley smoke meanwhile he's sewed up Brian Kelly.

This was the night of the LSU/A&M game, when everyone thought it was Riley...

Wouldn't his unfinished business be winning a natty at Michigan State? Would have a legacy at 3 schools.

Rousse praised Schroyer’s performance but said interim AD Verge Ausberry has his full support.

Not would have, or will have. But "has his full support."

As in, it's a done deal, probably has been for a while and the interviews were a formality because they had to go through the motions.

eta: It also looks like it's in motion to split the position of LSU President and Chancellor. So LSU would hire Rousse as president of the LSU system and someone else to run the university's day-to-day, fundraising, etc.

Are we not supposed to notice this post was edited 3 days later, the day Brian Kelly was officially hired?

ETA - retracted after Chicken's post above.

Still don't buy it though.

I linked the post. Chicken also posted the original message before it was edited. It is legit.

The linked post is edited like you have here, but you can see every reply is blasting him for the "dumb" sources and it would never be Kelly.

The fact that you nailed it to the day in 2021 shamefully gives me hope this could actually be true. Go forth and make it happen please.
