Are you trying (and failing) to write haikus?

I’m thinking OU will bring Stoops back. He built that program and handed it to LR, leaving on good terms. He was coaching in the start-up USFL, so you know he wants to coach again. He also knows the SEC landscape from his days at UF. To me, this is the only reason they would not match an LSU offer.
Agreed, I think that’s what they’ll do.

I'm personally taking the BilJ route at this point. New account with an OU flair saying that Woodward told him that Riley is a done deal? Yeah, that sounds like how Woodward rolls let's go.

that's actually believable. top flight coach being forced to cater to some snot nosed kid and his parents.

Difference being Ed did not sit the underperforming QB fir the backup. Ed had to be convinced otherwise.

Switzer, Gibbs, Blake, Stoops and Riley were all assistants prior to getting the head job, and all but Blake and Stoops were internal promotions.
You can go back even further. Bud Wilkinson and Chuck Fairbanks were both were young assistants when they were promoted to HC. Wilkinson, Jim Mackenzie, Fairbanks, Gibbs, Stoops, and Riley were all in their 30’s when they became HC.
Wilkinson and Fairbanks had only been on staff for a single season before they were promoted. Riley had been at OU for only two seasons.
Jim MacKenzie is a forgotten name. He played for Bear Bryant at Kentucky, got into coaching, and became a key assistant under Frank Broyles at Arkansas as he built them into a national power. He’s one of the outside hires OU has made. He brought Switzer with him from Arkansas and hired Chuck Fairbanks as OC. MacKenzie died of a heart attack after his first season. Fairbanks took over, then Switzer. No one remembers MacKenzie, but his coaching tree lasted for nearly 30 years.

Shut up you fricking tool. Caleb Williams is probably the best qb in the country now as a freshman. Nuss is behind max as a freshman . You may be the biggest retard I’ve seen on here. Caleb starts for whoever he decides to play for next year.
Nuss is talented but we have no clue how he will be when he’s got the pressure of a game that’s not already decided on his shoulders. Caleb would win the heisman for sure if he would have played the whole year.
Nuss may want to pick up that 40% completion percentgage about 30% if he wants to be on tha level of Caleb.
We would be very lucky to get Riley and Williams and you know that deep down

Speaking of nuss. Ed needs to do us a fricking service and play the kid in some meaningful situations and not just once or twice. He needs to have at least 3 series per game here on out.
I don’t think the 40% completion percentage is who he really is. Players were dropping passes like crazy when he was in. His ball comes in hot compared to max . We need to know if it’s gonna be nuss and Howard competing for the job or if he’s a developmental type player

This right here… Supposedly they flew on SM’s plane down to Tallahassee to meet with jimbo, made the deal and for some reason jimbo wanted more the next day. This pissed off the higher ups big time, Les beats aggy and is carried of the field that Saturday. The second interview with jimbo was for optics only, he was never going to be offered.
Here's what actually happened. LSU had a deal in place for Jimbo to replace PoorOleLess , but after Miles being carried off the field , & the love being shown by the players, LSU actually backed out of the deal, not the other way around. I know Jimbo wanted the LSU job bad, possibly because of being fun out of Tallahassee . I don't know if he's forgotten this , & if so if he might be willing to forget & forgive . If the Riley thread is correct we may never know.

I felt better about Riley to LSU before all these Riley to LSU done deal threads
Yeah, when has a coaching search ever actually gone this way where it turned out to be the "done deal" guy known over a month in advance?
It's like fans never learn that it's never the guy that gets these kinds of "done deal" threads and hype with the fanbase, especially this far out. I'd like to hear one example of a fanbase having a true done deal leaked a month before it came to fruition

Jimbo to A&M is the only one I can think of
But that AD is here now

If I recall, there weren't leaks on the A&M boards about Jimbo being their guy until less than a week before he was announced.
It just doesn't happen that way where it leaks this far out from the announcement date. LSU fans should know better than anyone after the whole Jimbo/DALSU debacle

Indeed, he is.
I want to believe, but I'm prepared for the more likely outcome(s). As long as Woodward delivers a quality coach, I'll get over the emotional rollercoaster.

I don’t know what to think. Woodward’s previous home run hires and the way they happened lead me to not rule out teaming up with Riley to drum up smoke while actually going after someone like Ryan Day or even Sean Payton
