Auburn spent a fortune retaining Gus to grab 9 wins while the Aggies are paying Jimbo Fisher $7.5MM per season to get them 7 wins. I'm not going to melt about this one.

Is that bad because y'all have been paying $4 million for 2 wins?

You’re so full of shite. No one called it a homerun hire. Yea we like it. It’s a solid hire. Nobody thought farmer Fran would amount to shite and look at him now

so you are saying after Pittman goes 3-21 at Arkansas he will be successful at his next stop?

Call it what you want; but it’s the same exact type of hire that LSU made 3 years ago. We only laugh now, b/c in hindsight, O was a good hire that has seemed to work out.

We also already had Aranda, a solid foundation for a team and we backed O with a ton of money for coordinators.

Does Arkansas have any of that?

The dilusion is real. They are all saying how they love this hire and it’s a home run

Lol really

From Leach, to Norvell, to Kiffin to a 60 year old offensive line coach

kinda reminds you of LSU fans a couple of years ago lol.

I can promise you beyond any doubt that this hire is NOT about LSU.

I’d be so sad if LSU hired a career line coach

You also said this.

Do we need to post your delusional threads you have made in the past?

Hello. He just got introduced. He hasn't quite hired a staff yet but we'll keep you informed.

But he apparently learned from the experience. He is clearly not the same coach he was over ten years ago. He is seasoned, he has evolved. O has been an interim HC at two different high profile schools and was successful at both. He walked into tough situations and managed them well. Pittman has done nothing like that, not even once. It is incorrect to say this is just like LSU hiring O. This is actually just like Ole Miss hiring O over ten years ago. Now, none of this means Pittman will fail. He may do well at Arkansas. But it is a big gamble.

One other thing is LSU was loaded on 4* and 5* players. Also LSU is by far the better football school than Arkansas.

Fans are idiots. Anytime something is new with a fan base, a player, a coach, etc., it’s most of the time the greatest thing ever. Then the newness wears off and it’s life as normal. We did the same with Moorhead. No one knows if Pittman, Kiffin, Drinkwitz, etc. are going to suck or succeed. Let them have their fun.

Same to Moorhead! Give him another year and see how it goes?

This reminds me of when Kansas hired Texas A&M's WR coach a couple years back because he was such an ace recruiter...

Sam Pittman is in an entirely different stratosphere as far as position coaches are concerned, if you know anything about SEC football you're aware of this.

He wanted the job badly and campaigned hard for it apparently, the difference between he and Luke is that he's actually been around the SEC and recruited well to successful SEC programs.

It's a long shot but one that has some merit. Winning in this league starts at the lines, and we got arguably the best available.

Can’t believe Arky didn’t make a hard run at Napier. That would’ve been a great hire.
