You guys really take lightly how hard it is to run an entire program. So what he was a phenomenal OC. But we’re talking about running this ship top to bottom. Please put this to rest.

Yeah young coached these days are horrible…

If he doesn’t run a college program, why would nfl teams allow him to be their HC this upcoming season when they all throw their teams at him?

Regardless of college or pro, he will be a HC next season.

You think LSU had a choice in whether he left or not?

Who doesn’t like 10+ win seasons and Heisman candidates? I know Riley hasn’t won shite at OU, but he does a great job running a program and Joe Brady I feel could do the same…

I would rather win a national championship than have a Heisman Trophy winner

Question is, if Penn St. became available…would he rather go back there, since he had a stint over there as a young coach..

Question doesn't matter because he is not coming back to coach college and posters that mention him as a candidate should be banned

By hiring joe brady?

No they wouldn't. Dude would be winning championships within 3 years.

Intelligent, super organized, knows hisoffense in and out.

He is charismatic and players love him.

All i have to say is if woodward pulls brady from the nfl, watch the fuch out

Brady is by far the coach the rest of SEC does not want us to hire.

Having served under Payton for years the creativity, motivation, and coaching evaluation is there.

I have no idea if the interest is real or just his agent warning NFL owners to shite or get off the pot, but Woody has to vet.

His current boss isn't too happy with him at the moment. There have been discussion in the Charlotte media about taking play calling duties away from him. Rhule is pissed they aren't focusing more on running the ball.

For the past three weeks, the Carolina Panthers' offense has failed to get the job done. In that time, Carolina has lost three straight games dropping their overall record to 3-3. Some blame can be placed on the defense but it's hard to do so when the offense has turned the ball over eight times in three weeks.

The shame of the game yesterday to me when you really go back and watch the game is we ran the football well, we've just not been committed enough to running it. That's going to change, I can just tell you that right now. You'll see a vastly different look from us moving forward. We're not going to lineup and drop back and throw it 40 times a game and think that that's going to win the game for us.

Yeah seems like quite a leap to go from a young OC with minimal college experience to college HC. I can definitely see OC to NFL HC because there’s less to deal with and it’s so much more about the X’s and O’s….there’s just so much more to running a college program off the field than an NFL job. In many ways, NFL job is much easier for a young guy.

Don’t get me wrong, if Woodward thinks Brady has it, I’m down with it. But just seems far-fetched IMO, he probably isn’t yet qualified to run an entire college program. But maybe he is, I dunno

Would certainly be an interesting/exciting hire, just seems like a ton of unnecessary/unknown risk.

Different deal worked under a mentor Stoops who handed the program over..He was a head coach in training..

Brady was the de facto OC of one the greatest offenses in NCAA history, destroyed Riley, and has done well as an NFL OC. The differences in Riley and Brady are negligible.

Brady has 1 year college coaching experience. (3 if you count his 2 years as a GA at Penn St)

Riley had 13 years college coaching experience before getting the OU job.

I wouldn’t say those are similar levels of experience

Don’t get me wrong, I like Brady a lot, but I find it highly highly highly unlikely any big college program is handing the keys to someone with that minimal college experience. NFL job?… fine, that’s easy because there’s less to manage and deal with, but college is a different animal. In the pros he can focus on X’s and O’s, so it’s feasible handing the keys to a young inexperienced guy. But at the college level, there’s 600 other things off the field to manage on a daily basis, and you’ve got to have experience with all those things.

IMO there’s basically zero percent chance Joe Brady is getting the LSU job. I doubt he’s even on Woodward’s list.
