Hoke is fired. News stories linking Les to Michigan are popping up everywhere, and it will only get worse the next few days.
I realize it's a little much to expect him to deny interest today, but every day that goes by makes it that much more likely. If anybody on this board thinks that Jimmy Sexton (or whoever his damned agent is) has not been working the phones all afternoon, you are nuts.
Les is the PERFECT man for that job. Championship coach, great program CEO, stellar recruiter, Michigan man, hates Ohio State, enjoys being a thorn in Urban's side. His mom recently passed, and his oldest son graduates from U High in May. It's time. If not now, then never.

If our AD and Board of Trustees gives him another raise and bigger buyout for this year, then they all deserve to be tarred and feathered. It's not like when he played us when we had really good seasons.

The only reason he wouldn't be on their list is they don't want to be embarrassed by him turning them down for a third time. They would love to have Miles.

Seems to me the problem you guys have isnt with Les, It is with the people that hired him and continue to give him more money.

- Jim Harbaugh
- Bret Bielema
- Sean Payton
- Pat Fitzgerald
- David Shaw
- Jerry Kill
- Jim McElwain
- Bob Stoops
- Steve Addazio
- Gary Patterson
- Mark Richt
- Butch Jones
- Mark Stoops
Fitzgerald and Addazio are the only realistic candidates on that list. Harbuagh, Payton, Patterson, and Bob Stoops are all pipe dreams.
Shaw wouldn't leave his alma mater for the NFL, so he's not going to leave it for Michigan.
Mark Stoops and Jerry Kill would be incredibly underwhelming and questionable hires.
McElwain is off the market.
The remaining names, such as Richt and Bielema, are out of left field and are completely unrealistic.
