Dude is a goofball, but you can’t help but be in awe of his influence on college football

Leach is fricking brilliant.

Brilliance doesn't mean you're a dominant football coach, takes more than that, but his impact on football in general, not just college, is one of the greatest ever.

All of his is true. But Leach learned from Hal Mumme.

Leach and Mumme created the Air Raid together.

Look at Leach's career and look at Mumme's. Who is the real brains behind that operation?

I could listen to him ramble on about nonsensical things for a long time. He's a unique and entertaining dude.

It’s a shame that he ended up coaching moo state. Could be a really good sec coach but it’s tough to do it there

I think he's perfect there. If he starts getting some more of these underrated 3* Mississippi athletes and can get accurate QBs he'll start winning 8 games a year on average with a couple 9/10 win years and that is impressive at MSU.

He's real good at picking coaches and creating a good culture for creativity and coaching development.

quote:

Reminiscent of The 48 Laws of Power, legendary football coach Mike Leach’s inspiring history of Apache war leader Geronimo demonstrates the timeless lessons we can learn from his life—featuring a foreword from the bestselling author of Empire of the Summer Moon. Says New York Times bestselling author Brian Kilmeade, "Mike Leach put together a compelling book and humanized a man many thought never existed. A great read."

Playing cowboys and Indians as a boy, legendary college football coach Mike Leach always chose to be the Indian—the underdog whose success turned on being a tough, resourceful, ingenious fighter. And the greatest Indian military leader of all was Geronimo, the Apache warrior whose name is so symbolic of courage that World War II paratroopers shouted it as they leaped from airplanes into battle.
