Little bit of a sidenote, anything on your end from TRISTAN keys? I see Lamar Brown on Twitter saying he can’t wait to get back to Miami.

Pretty quiet on the Keys front but a couple of our insiders remain very bullish on Brown.

Lafayette is a beast. If he was 2-3 inches taller, he'd be a 4-5 star. Explosive get-off and super productive (something like 40 QBHs last year),
Honestly, prior to the past week I thought zero shot at this kid. BR kid, 5 star DT, etc. apparently, there’s a lot of smoke on this kid and Miami, whereas folks seem to think keys is wrapped up to LSU.

I could not have pictured that a few weeks ago.

Man, I’ll be the first to say I am glad the kid that runs this page takes the time and put that shite together because it is nice not having to frick with Twitter/IG to get it to this format here

Do I have it right that Henderson is down to UF and LSU as per Fong's latest? It could be a domino for us since we are after Anthony Jones and if Auburn misses out on Henderson, they could put the full court press on Jones.
I’m not falling for the lamar beown banana in tail pipe routine. I know Mario is making him a priority but we have virtually no shot. But, NIL makes things wild these days.
Gonna be a close one but LSU is tough to beat on this imo. His family has loved being in coral gables, love the campus and have a great connection with our WRC. As others have said, this is his 3rd/4th time to Miami and the interest is legit.
Keys/Russell are our top two prospects at wR. I don't think we'll have room for both.
Who knows how it went down but given the portal age, 90%+ of the time, the kids go for the bigger bag. Word is we gave a healthy bag but his team wanted a lot more and we said no. He has a very strong connection with his old DB coach, supposedly, and wanted to play with him but at the end of the day he and his team decided on lSU.
One of our other insiders who runs the most popular canes site just came out and said that LSU/SEC was the pick all along and we were never really in it. It was a big money play trying to extract as much money as possible from lsu. Idk with this stuff.
LSU in the lead on this one as per one our insiders. From the minute he was in Miami to now, things have turned almost 180. In recruiting insider speak, this one is a wrap. Congrats.

Shea doesn't think this happens unfortunately

Lol, Gaby is saying he is hearing LSU rumblings.

I know Miami is being very aggressive here and has the same DB coach he had in houston.
Miami wants him bad. He etheridge coached him at UH. We visited him earlier this week to get a commitment but nothing yet. Every day that goes by, the more uneasy I feel. Hearing ole miss is really after him as well.

Big NIL deal. Good kid in general but hasn’t quite acclimated to CFB. Late too meetings, etc. plus, he was mostly an in-box safety in HS and struggled in college

I liked Daniels and this is a real head scratcher for me, he was injured and had 42 catches. Healthy he comes back and is looking at a season of 60 plus catches and around 1000 yards, I dont think he has the measureables to get in the league without productivity.....Miami is a head scratcher.

We will most likely lose Horton to Bama and he was slated to maybe becoming our WR1. We lose our top 2 WRs in Restrepo and George. we had 5 WRs with > 500 yards last year with Restrepo getting 1100. Daniels probably becomes our WR1 and assuming we can get Mateer or a close equivalent, we should see a productive offense again. Maybe not #1 in the country but at worst, top 10. Time will tell.

After 1-2 yrs Just jump in portal and get paid before anyone realizes u suck. Thats whats happening. If player chooses to portal for money rather than recognize deficiencies stay and develop then kid likely doesnt have what it takes. What seems like a loss or even a gain from portal often is not. This is what we are seeing.

Not sure I completely agree. What we're seeing are top recruits portaling because a school is renegotiating their NIL deal and telling them to take a paycut. Kids don't want none of that and think they can get something similar elsewhere.

The reality is that if you are a highly touted recruit and don't do much in 1-2 years, you're gonna take a paycut either to stay or to go to another team. Lots of these high profile kids get 2 year NIL deals and they get renegotiated/renewed after that period.
You don’t want Noland. He’s been underwhelming the minute he stepped foot in Columbus. He’s 4th string now iirc.

His side has been keeping it really close to the vest. By most accounts, it’ll be a battle among Miami, bama and uga

Ahem. We don’t really have speed on the outside. Lol

Cam helped win Miami 3-4, games and Miami had to get help from the refs in 2-3 games. Cam won't be there next year. So Miami will have 3-4 loses next year. The ACC is terrible this year. Getting 10-12 guys out the portal every year isn't good for your program either.

No doubt. The expectation is that portal players will be relied upon less and less by the year as Mario gets his talent in place. Portal players can’t be avoided with NIL because that’s where we are. But, look at the landscape of CFB and look at the depth charts of the top teams. Oregon is littered with transfers, and just about every team except for osu and Georgia has 3-4 transfers starting in each side of the ball.

Portal players are here to stay and there’s probably a desired optimal amount of transfers you want to have on your team. What that number is, not sure.
