naming anyone an interim for a full year would send the wrong message to the recruits.

Chargers DC Jesse Minter
Probably the right, easy hire.

What do you want them to do? The most sought out candidate in this year’s coaching cycle was already snagged, Pete Golding.

Why would Bryce want to leave,he only went there for the bag.He wanted LSU but 12 mill convinced him to go to MICH.So he should stay and keep getting paid.

Well whomever it is, we can safely say that Paige Shiver will be all over this...except if he's a white guy.

If Portnoy is still throwing money at the program
While he is giving money, Portnoy is not the one who will keep things going. Players having no idea who will be their coach or coordinator two years from now will mean anyone worth a shite will bail.

Ive actually been keeping up with this search pretty closely and they deserve that list. One for the arrogance they have believing the could just bully Bama of all teams for a HC, 2 for refusing to offer Dillingham because of "political" reasons. They were extremely confident Bama would lose to Oklahoma, Deboer would get run out town right into their arms. Bama won and all hell broke loose. Quite entertaining reading.

If you can't consistently win 10 games at LSU, how much are you really worth?

Minter is my guess. His show cause ended on 12/15 of this year so he is in the clear and he's a "Michigan Man".
That said, I think they should wipe the slate clean and go with Whittingham. He could change the trajectory of the program and get them heading in the right direction for however long he wants to continue coaching.

That list improves dramatically if the AD is let go.

Players
Only care about the money. You seriously think players leave simply for a coach?

Biff seems to be the leader heading to the 18th.

I know this was in an espn article, but I’ve heard elsewhere that it’s actually later than April of 2026.

Andy Staples said it’s over recently
But the chargers will be in the playoffs, so good luck with that timing

Yeah, I would almost have Biff as the interm next season and start fresh.
Best option imo

Did he? Because he’s the one I heard say it was actually later than April of 2026.

If Portnoy is still throwing money at the program they can handle a down year especially if its known they aren't sticking with Biff.
Dude is a dollar store contributor acting like he is Saks. The real money is coming from the Ellisons.
