Aside: Harbaugh doesn't have an agent, just a point man to handle inquiries. So whenever a pundit says "Harbaugh's agent" is doing this or that, be assured they have no idea what they're talking about. There are a number of reliable reporters covering this, but that ain't them.

As you might imagine, the Harbaugh Rumor Mill is working three shifts these days. I'm getting a lot of information from good sources, but would always rather be second and right than first and wrong. But you can expect some news soon, one way or the other. Stay tuned.

Can confirm Michigan AD Warde Manuel and Jim Harbaugh have discussed a new contract (as @Johnubacon first reported). Proposal is for less money (high incentives), as expected.

As we wrote earlier today: Ball is in Harbaugh's court.

I still have faith in Jim but his decision to stop coaching and become a "CEO" for the POS Gattis is a fireable offence

I honestly think this might be the right move. IDK who they would want to replace him? He's shown he can get the most out of good talent.

Imagine if Texas had closed the deal on Urban Meyer and then Urban just floundered for years. That's what has happened to Michigan. Harbaugh was their Meyer, and I don't know anyone with enough skins on the wall to replace him besides Meyer himself.

This is refreshing compared to most modern "journalists".

Harbaugh’s a good coach. IMO, where he's underachieved is with his evaluations. His teams have been soft the past 2 years. It blows my mind how bad his defensive line recruiting has been.

He's also been a huge fail at recruiting/developing QBs... which I would have thought would be his great strength as a college fb coach.

They run their mouths instead of putting in the work and getting results on the field.

"Guaranteed wins"
"Whos' got it better than us"
"Revenge Tour"

fricking imbeciles.

When he was hired, the local Michigan bar's employees all had shirts that said jiM with the M being the Michigan block M. To say expectations we're reasonable is an understatement.

That bar has since closed. They had good food too.
