While not an exciting hire you could do a hell of a lot worse.

You can wear out your welcome anywhere even at Kentucky. I know he senses a couple more 7-5 seasons and they will want him gone. He is a good coach who can identify talent and run a great program. He's had a boring offense because he is making the most of the talent he has in order to have the best chance to win.

are you high?
First off, Stoops gets an extra year automatically every time he wins 7 games per his contract. So no, 7-5 does not end his career

Second, we are Kentucky. Our football history is ugly to say the least. Rich Brooks never won over 8 games in a season us considered a bright spot. Stoops is literally the winningest coach in school history and has several meh seasons by other school standards but are solid seasons here

So no, Stoops won't be fired due to 7 win seasons and unless he has a massive nose dive (I mean 3 or more straight seasons with 4 wins or less and recruiting tanks) he chooses when to leave, not fans

He’s not leaving his cushy job at UK for the pressure cooker of AU.

Who will take the Auburn HC job? Missouri dodges a bullet when Harsin wanted 5 million dollars to be the HC. It was too much and went with Drinkwitz. Much better hire and a much better recruiter who knows the Southeastern area from his coaching at several schools in the area plus Arkansas State. He is from Oklahoma so there is that to be closer to where he was born.

Sister Josephine consulted her tea leaves and said it is not happening. She said the same thing about Lane Kiffin.
