You’re the same guy that said you wanted DJ Durkin as DC

Going to start competing with colleges with more money than us for DCs.

LSU was paying pelini $2.3. The highest coordinator is 2.5 or so. They have plenty of money.

Pete Golding the DC for Alabama. From Hammond, LA. I think Trev Faulk will be the LB coach and probably Bo Davis as the DL coach. I think this combination of coaches would yield a violent defense and the ability to recruit with the best of them especially in Louisiana.

Deuce I said the same thing yesterday. It was not well received except by my wife that is an Alabama fan. For the record I’m not advocating these hires just something I heard as speculation from a high school coach in Lafayette. The more I thought about it he may be right.

There's more to a DC job than just money but in a bidding war LSU will lose to the richer universities that are putting staffs together now.

Their defense played great against Georgia. UGA had superior talent on both sides of the ball. Highest rated players for Cincy were 3 star guys. He did a lot with less.
i taught the same thing, talk about everyone flying to the ball and sharp tackling

Such as?

Pelini made more than Chris Ash and only slightly less than Kevin Steele. Who are these schools with so much more to spend?

ND doesn't have the jimmy's and Joes to compete and likely never will unless an Urban Meyer type hire is made

Not many universities can offer the money that LSU can. Obviously Texas, Bama, Texas A&M, Ohio State can. LSU will not go cheap. Alleva would have but not Woodward.

I agree was just mentioning that he will be doing multiple interviews. If LSU wants him they probably need to lock it down tomorrow. Seems like a hot commodity

I would think they are really locked in on their top 2 maybe 3 they want and the others are back up options.

Maybe the next DC will not have that constipated look on his face all the time. These young men today are not the same as the young men of 10 or 20 years ago.

And they pay their current DC $800K/year. I’d imagine we would pay him in the $2.5-2.7M range.
BR is a shite hole and I can’t wait to retire and move to Colorado, but if you tripled my salary you could definitely keep me in this shithole a good while longer!

Also mentioned Golding as well.

Would be a win/win for Bama.

Happy? They were fricking giddy and acted like they made the ultimate mic dropping frick you move of the century to LSU. Meanwhile, he couldn't even stop LSU under Les Miles.

That tells you about as much as you need to know about listening to the commentary of any clueless A&M fan when it comes to football.
