FWIW - this guy doesn’t think he will leave UC. He’s also a big UC homer though and gets blinded by that. From the start, he didn’t think LSU had a chance because Freeman was going to wait for a NFL DC, HC job, or for Fickell to leave. Him interviewing is a sign my buddy was already wrong and he’s open to it at the very least.

Yeah, you’d think his wife would look at maybe 3X his current $750K salary as a big boost to their child-raising budget.
There was a story during the Peach Bowl broadcast about how close the Freeman & Fickell families are. There are 6 Fickell kids also & they described how the Freeman & Fickell families lived together for a time while the new Freeman home was being built.
They are obviously very close & may wind up being inseparable at any price.

He’s our number 1 choice but I don’t think we are going to land him ultimately in my opinion.
