Today is Kelly’s 60 birthday.

This is not his first rodeo. His team of assistants and staff will be rolling a few days after the announcement.

It still is a reach, but money talks.

It was also in South Bend On Saturday around 1:30 pm and didn’t depart and Scott and Tate were at the Ole Miss game. How Could they be at Ole Miss and South Bend at the same time? I wouldn’t pay attention much to planes. Scott doesn’t work like that.

Great game.

Notre Dame's up-tempo offense looks great.

I can't imagine why anyone would want Kelly. He's slightly above average and consistently so.

You do realize that this is not how it works anymore. It's done mostly by phone. If there is face to face it is done with the agent at his place and the agent is typically in places like Memphis or Chicago or Dallas.

This much I know....we are not going for Brian Kelly and given the state of things probably not Marcus Freeman either

I don’t want Kelly either, but you people have no idea what the definition of average is. He’s been to the CFP multiple times.

Dude the days of tracking planes are over. After last year they learned that if they want they can keep everything under wraps with Zoom calls and face time. By the time that tracking a plane would tell you anything, everyone will know anyway.

This and they’re not likely using the LSU (Acadian ambulance) planes.

Problem with the search is there is only a few hires that will WOW fans that dont have some negatives.

Kellys has big game experience, has run a program pretty clean, knows how to manage a football team.

Im not a big fan of the guy, but he was in my top 3.

I highly doubt Woodward is using the LSU jet to conduct business for the coaching search.

I think Brian Kelly is clearly a great football coach, but he has one foot out the door right now and has alluded to that. So, in my opinion, we should not go after him too hard.

I mean, do you not agree he has potentially already hit his ceiling?

Notre Dame is a great job and he’s been successful, but not overly successful.

He’s also older.

Idk.

He likely wouldn’t bring more talent than we have. His record against SEC teams is pretty anemic.

Any concerns about his age? He's 60 right now. He'll be starting at a new program at age 61. Think he has the stamina for starting over?
