given the circumstances of you paying 4 million more for your new head coach and Rumlin's lifetime supply of vodka funds, yes, LSU could theoretically outbid the aggies for brewster now STTDB and go find some LSU articles to share on the SECR
LSU has an endowment of somwhere around 745Million, that sounds like a lot, A&M almost triples it with their endowment. A&M could buy and sell every coach LSU has.

derp derp derp derp derp derp derp derpppp
the endowment money the aggies receive from oil royalties has absolutely nothing to do with the athletic side.
by your logic Stanford should have just offered saban 15 million a year and price everyone out because they're probably the wealthiest and most successful university in the world. however, most of that money is tied up to academics.
thankfully in Louisiana we don't give a shite about reading books baw

I think A&M's endowment is more than $9B, or some crazy number

no reason LSU can't exceed A&M's best offer for Brewster
Aggies can match and cover whatever LSU would throw out. They have the whales and a competent AD/admin to go after anyone.

Trust me, the only way Brewster isn't at A&M with Jimbo is if he doesn't want to be. Money will not be an issue, which is much of the reason that we are stealing him from FSU

Why did someone mention Odell to lsu?
Brewster isn't someone you want on staff he's a worse version of Pruitt

I’m well aware of that. It’s just funny listening to LSU fans (I’m one) think they can outbid A&M. Have a family member who’s helping foot some of the costs to get him to CS.

How many good seasons will it take before he's constantly hitting you up for raises every year?
Posted on 11/30/17 at 4:28 pm to LSUintheNW
It’s Jimmy Sexton, one has to expect yearly.

Need some recruiters on our staff...
Absolutely DO NOT need anymore "Great Recruiters" on the staff that can't tech coach and develop their position athletes. (WR)
Need Saban Style assistants that can do both.
All these WR's wind up at LSU and do not prosper or develop while they're here.
No more DC's or MJ's here.

If Jimbo is successful, raises wouldn't be much of an issue. He'd be worth it in the increased revenue alone

We get it, dude. Aggy has enough money to buy up every pair of cargo shorts in the world. Congrats
They better save money for a styrofoam cup fund. Summy starts early.

Do you even know what an endowment is? NO school in the country uses their endowment money for athletics

Do you people understand that LSU doesn't pay anything in their AD with state or university money right? LSU has a ton of money available to hire coaches etc.

I find it hilarious reading these pissing contests and the Aggies always reverting to the fact that they have a massive amount of money to throw around. The reason is this thing called market value.
No school, no matter how much money they have, is gonna pay much above a coach's market value. The money is never the issue with any of these schools, all have enough to pay whatever the amount is. The question becomes does the school in question believe the coach is worth the amount it would take sometimes. It happens all the time. Most decisions by coaches come down to more than the actual value of their contract.
Does anyone really believe FSU can't match what TAM is offering? Sure they can. The decision with Fisher has nothing to do with money.
Also funny that TAM people think their money is why they can possibly pull Fisher whereas LSU couldn't. It had nothing to do with the money. The length of the contract Fisher wants was the issue. If Aggie wants to give Fisher anywhere close to 10 years then by all means have at it. Trust me, the people controlling all that money are gonna start balking if they feel millions are being wasted, as is the case with Sumlin and will be the case with Chavis. Even rich folks don't like paying millions for coaches to sit at home and watch the games.
Just a word of caution Aggies, remember the last coach you guys were all excited to throw in LSUs face? How's Chavis looking now? Still want to talk shite about that one? Be wary what you wish for
