Nothing wrong with taking a chance with knowledgeable guys that want to run a certain offense. It either that or you hire retreads that aren’t a sure thing.

Wow whole thread mostly Russ shite. Just hire two great coaches. I think Mangas was asked by Joe to be at the Heisman ceremony. So he has plenty to offer in the QB room. Peetz is a QB coach so we are covered for days in the QB room.
Love Russ but come on we got our guys and Russ will land on his feet soon enough.

So making our new oc work with someone he most likely never met before makes more sense than someone he spent the last season with who happens to also have been HERE a year ago?

I mean Bama has Charlie Strong as an analyst. We get a guy that has two decent years at Samford in the analyst room and everyone is freaking out to get him on the field as a coach. We need to upgrade that room anyways, there is nothing wrong with having talented guys behind the scenes as long as you have talent in the front of the house also.
