So the report that LSU requested an interview was a lie?

what about Loomis?

How many levels do they have to call? What about Dennis Allen? Dan Campbell?

LSU formally requested to speak with Nielsen. This seems like someone getting caught up in semantics because Ed didn’t ring Sean up personally.

Orgeron and Payton have a personal relationship. He should have been called.

Ummmm, they were in a Playoff Game up until Sunday.

You think SP had time to discuss this with O?

O is known for being a snake knife twister in your back so it's not hard to believe. What comes around goes around O! Take a dose of your own medicine.

Guess these 2 still have bad blood when Payton shite all over O when he coached for Saints.

His place? No. But if you want him to do you a favor, and let one of his coach’s out of a contract to bail your arse out, it wouldnt have hurt

So this is one of those “unwritten rules” like in baseball where formal approval isn’t enough? You need to duplicate your efforts and pre-ask or post-ask for permission?

Link? This is complete bullshite and if you’re going to spout nonsense BS about the coach, go be a fan of another team.

What an absolute nothing burger. It's embarrassing that this is what goes for "reporting" these days. Good Lord. Teenage drama sells I guess.

There are plenty of things to criticize Orgeron about over the last year, but this certainly isn't one of them.

Is that the correct channel? Wouldn't you speak to Upper Management and not a HC the day after a Playoff Loss?

First off, im not sure ive even seen it verified that lsu asked permission to speak to him.
Secondly, the coaching profession is a brotherhood. And payton is known to by petty, its part of what makes him great. So, if you want to pull a coach from him, its a good idea to be as cordial as you can. Doesnt sound like lsu was

Sorry not sorry to hurt your feelings. So everything that comes out about him is a lie then huh. He didn't completely go behind Miles back to get him out the door right? He wasn't a good coach but he didn't deserve to be shite on like LSU did to him so it's only fitting that LSU is starting to get their own medicine dosed on them.

When you shite can coaches like LSU is doing it starts to look like a pattern and don't think other coaches aren't taking notice. 3 coaches have clowned Orgeron. Arnett wasn't even interested in the job by all account, and Freeman/Nielsen both made him look stupid especially the "nielsen is like my son" only hours later telling him thanks but no thanks.

You have investigations going on, allegations, and an unstable program. Money being thrown around is apparently not enough to get coaches to come here right now to be the DC. Hmm.
