Whether it's Kiffin, Canada or Applewhite, LSU has a great selling point and should be able to attract some highly successful OC's, no other college coach was able to compete with Bama and Saban the way LSU's defense did, shutting out Bama's offense for 3 quarters. The fact is LSU is an off. coord. away from achieving greatness. Come on down and be a Tiger, coach.

If LSU's defense was able to shut down Lane's offense, what makes you think Bama's defense wouldn't be able to shut his offense down?

What you are failing to recognize is that next year LSU will not have nearly as much talent as Bama. Ours will drop off, theirs will stay the same. Missed a golden chance this year.

We've missed 6 golden chances in a row.

people hang their hats on this game, likely the reason why O got hired in the first place, bc he kept it close.

we're more than just 10 points away from alabama as a program.

First, it may not be Lane. Secondly, Kiffin's has a lot of offensive knowledge. Saban doesn't exactly allow a free hand as Orgeron would, we'll learn a lot soon, who it may be.

Who cares

Don't lay a terd against Wiscy, AU and UF.

Do that and you are getting a second shot at Bama

Meh, it was 0-0 but we were controlling the game. Not once did it appear we wouldn't win. LSU was doing absolutely nothing to give you a reason to think they could score more than maybe 3. It 'felt" a lot worse than 10-0.

As Brett MCmurphy said, "it was a 10-0 blowout"

The head coach is responsible for setting/adjusting the tone of the game. The OC is just a playcaller. At no time did it seem that O had an answer to LSU's struggles. The defense was playing well so he kept the risks low hoping for something magical to happen. That game was virtually identical to 1/9. I would have rather lost 24-0 and actually tried something vs. bragging about 10-0 taking no risks.

Why are so many of yall so impressed by a game we lost by double digits. They have a freshman qb who that can't throw the ball 10 yards downfield, and he turned it over twice in his won half. We should have won easy, but you people are happy about almost covering.

honestly.. i think thats the type of offense that beats bama. quick passes. takes their front 7 largely out of the game as often as possible

Even with Kiffin, alabama couldn't score against Lsu. As has been clearly shown, alabama needed the refs to give them a TD

With lane kiffin this is not a positive. That dude has to be babysat by someone. Otherwise he'll start saying/doing dumb stuff that hurts the school. See Tennessee for example.

Saban is smart to keep the reigns on that man-child.

If Kiffin is LSU's OC, he is developing LSU's quarterbacks, not Bama's.

You believe that game goes the same way if it's not played in Baton Rouge?

THIS ^^^^

Feels a lot like when Notre Dame gave Charlie Weis that huge contract b/c he "kept it close" against USC
