If LSU's defense was able to shut down Lane's offense, what makes you think Bama's defense wouldn't be able to shut his offense down?

We'll snap

Meh, it was 0-0 but we were controlling the game. Not once did it appear we wouldn't win. LSU was doing absolutely nothing to give you a reason to think they could score more than maybe 3. It 'felt" a lot worse than 10-0.

As much as I hate to agree, I do.

Bama had no reason to try anything half way creative. They knew we would score many points if any.

What you are failing to recognize is that next year LSU will not have nearly as much talent as Bama. Ours will drop off, theirs will stay the same. Missed a golden chance this year.

Fact unfortunately.

This year was literally "the year"

On TD Alabama was the beneficiary of a questionable personal foul and a blatant hold not being called. That being said, we were bleeding field position all game and eventually they get at least 3. 6 First Downs 8 Punts - we weren't going to score. As much as I fricking hate it, our offense was not competitive that game. Defense played them close, offense not so much.

i'll be damned if anyone says that they 'felt' in this game from an offensive standpoint. we were gifted 2 turnovers in fantastic field position and proceeded to squander those opportunities.

otherwise, that offense was going nowhere. It was going to take a pick 6, fumble return, or something similar for LSU to truly be in that game.

and it's the game we hired O based on.

no the D put on a masterful performance, but the offense never threatened them at all. That's why Saban gave 0 fricks about going for that TD on 4th down, he knew it would break our backs.

but for whatever reason O gets credit for "competing" with Bama. The credit goes to Aranda and that D.

We don't have to win the Alabama game to win it all. Win every other game convincingly and keep the Bama game close and you have a shot at the playoff.
