If he really feels he didn't get a fair shot and really wants to stick it to LSU, the ultimate frick You would be joining Bama's staff as a Defensive Line consultant or some other bullshite position and pulling top DL talent out of Louisiana every year. I have no doubt Saban would take him.

I think he would be hated more than Saban if he did that.

And for the idiots here that are incapable of engaging in conversation without assuming every thread is advocating for one coach over another, I'm not advocating that we keep Coach O. I think that would be a HUGE mistake that would set the program back years.

Honestly, who gives a shite. Recruiting didn't begin and will not end with Orgeron.

There was never a scenario where O wouldn't be pissed and wouldn't take his ball and go home.

So no change from the status quo?

If he leaves it won't be because he thinks he got screwed, it'll be because he feels he deserves the opportunity to be a head coach - feels he can be a very successful head coach - and will leave to try to take the reigns at another program. He'd likely sit out a season rather than be a coordinator anywhere

Fully agree - The DL is definitely in need of an upgrade

They don't need help, but he would make them that much better and give them a better chance at pulling top DL talent out of Louisiana.

And FWIW, I'm not saying this is a reason to keep Coach O, because that would be a HUGE mistake, im just thinking about the biggest possible way he could frick us if he felt slighted.

Why are we all of a sudden putting O on a pedestal and shite?

I mean, we sound like a bunch of pussies with "Oh, he may go to Bama and stick it to us" BS.

I thought the same thing. I can see a Coach being vindictive. But I said something here and all the gurus and experts promptly shut me down and reminded me that Dunbar is doing a good job at Bama beating LSU...

For the most part, the top DL talent has stayed home. Bama has been successful at pulling top recruits out of LA, but for the most part those have been OL, DB, and a few RBs.

I'm starting to wonder if the folks who are posting on this board even watch college football.

sorry, but if O really feels like he didn't get a fair shot here, then he's fricking delusional.

He wouldn't do that because his heart is not in Alabama. Even if he got pissed and left, oh well. He had his chance and didn't earn it
