Supposedly the Kiffin family is in Florida yesterday then in BR today. And by the time his family, not him, are leaving BR a deal is in place?
Why would the family do a day trip to Gainesville? Why would a day trip to BR settle anything?

1,000% fishy. Lane leaving OM during a playoff run or doing something to hurt their playoff run is easily 20X worse than how he left Tenn, and in doing so that bad energy follows him a la USC, to his next job. If an agent gets an offer from an outside school to make his client the highest paid coach, the agent--sadly--must do whatever it takes to create a bidding war. And poor us, after Herman and Riley, im afraid we're being used again.

I mean…a deal being signed is obviously bullshite. Even if Kiffin is 10000% taking the job, why do it now? You gain nothing and lose a week of negotiating power.

I don’t think it’s purely performative because why go through the effort of sending your family to places that everyone knows want him to coach there? It’s not like Ole Miss was going to wake up today and think, oh wow maybe LSU is a threat here. And if the ultimatum story is true, then I would think these type of games would do more harm than good to the OM side.

Have we seen any photos or confirmed sighting to show he was in Gainesville. A jet flies out of Tupelo the day after Olemiss beats Florida and it apparently has to be the family.

Wouldn't make sense for them to do that. It's a distraction for the team. Not understanding why he didn't sign that contract extension. Wonder if there's something he's looking for Ole Miss to provide. Has to be the NIL funding I think.
