Might need to let the LSU administration know.

I said this in another thread but, we have 4 black coaches on staff, probably 85% of our team is black, our president is black. Whites are by far outnumbered in this organization. It's like he won't be happy until it's entirely black.
If it's true that Tate stated he wanted to make a legacy hire, then it's all about bringing in LSU's first black head football coach, qualifications be damned. He's admitting that he cares more about filling the vacancy with a black man than hiring the best qualified candidate.
Don't forget that this man commissioned a mural of his face in the women's basketball practice facility. He obviously thinks very highly of himself. Come hell or high water, he's getting a black head coach. Let's just hope it's Franklin and not Tucker.

Let's get some more diversity on the field then. frick it. If color is more important than competence / experience, might as well follow through on the field.
So stupid.

The fact that it may or may not be true sure isn’t stopping you from freaking out.

What do you think is more likely: he demanded his face be in the womens basketball practice gym, or it’s part of the “new beginnings” campaign for the stale womens hoops program? Think carefully here.

Tate ain’t paying the buyout so he ain’t making this decision

I agree. It's madness, but LSU knew that they were getting themselves into when they hired a CRT scholar as the system president. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

No he didn’t…. That’s a photo from Mulkey intro press conference. I swear some of you’ll are ate up with it. And I am not a Tate fan at all. Is it necessary to always create a boogie man??

Let me say this again. You have to be crazy if you think that a relatively new President is going to take on the football powers at LSU. If a black coach is really a qualified candidate, so be it. If the coach is white or hispanic, so be it as long as they are fully qualified. This will be an extremely important hire. It was obvious that Orgeron lost the team for a number of reasons. As soon as his demise was known, they played really hard for the first time this season.

Is that picture for real and not photoshopped? No way.

You must have brain damage. Horrible choice. Not a good fit at all, hasn’t even won the conference since he’s been there

I don't believe they would say they will hire a minority candidate. That is admitted racial discrimination. I'm sure they will interview and consider minority candidates, but I can't see them committing definitively unless they already have something in place and the coch is a minority.

No other LSU president has ever had his face on a mural in an athletic facility. It's weird if nothing else.
I am thinking carefully. Tate himself said that he wants to bring a black head coach to LSU. That means that he's going to limit Woodward's search to basically two candidates. One is qualified and the other is not. Let's see which one we end up with.

I asked which scenario is more likely. Correct me if I’m wrong, but his face isn’t plastered all across campus. I would bet it was done in concert with Mulkey for a fresh start kind of deal.
