Interesting hire, I love watching NDSU play. He kept their dynasty rolling. I still think they maybe should jump up to the FBS level at some point

They would steamroll the MAC in a lot of years during their run

He's doing just fine for a guy out in Wyoming.

Idk, it’s probably slightly more difficult than attracting them to Kansas State

State of Kansas has the top Juco system in the country, so many great players already there.

Negative.

Mississippi has the top JUCO in the country.

Looking at the final rankings from the season,
Mississippi has:
#1 EMCC (MS)
#5 Jones (MS)
#7 Northwest (MS)
#12 MGCCC (MS)
#17 CoLin (MS)
#21 Holmes (MS)
#25 East Central (MS)

Kansas has:
#2 Garden City
#8 Hutchinson
#11 Butler
#17 Highland

16-11 in two seasons with a first round QB playing against MWC competition. 12-24 without.

Boil makes me high skeptical Klieman translate to the FBS but I don't mind K State taking that shot.

NDSU is just a monster program. Any competent coach wins championships there.

Anyone in that general area of the country that is missed by elite programs just goes to NDSU because they can win national championships (unlike in the MWC) and they have the benefit of playing indoors

Klieman

I met him in 2015 when my FIL was up there celebrating their 50th anniversary of the first ever championship at NDSU. He was extremely impressive in person. It was Wentz's senior year and we got to be on the sideline as they walked through practice preparing for the game the following day. He is extremely detail oriented and every minute of practice was scripted. I've never seen a Saban practice but it was what I pictured his would be like.

side note: their AD came from Stony Brook--the team that beat LSU in the supers in 2012.

In this case I think they are better off building a brand in FCS than becoming irrelevant in FBS.
If they were in FBS and 7-5, do you think Gameday ever goes there?

You realize Kansas State fans think they're a blue blood program?

Not sure what pedestrian means to you, but UW-Whitewater is 44-7 (.862) under Kevin Bullis. Perhaps you were, simply, comparing to one of the great runs in recent D-III memory, but three of Bullis' seven losses came in 2017 when it took the Warhawks one month to figure it out. After that, they rattled off six straight to end the season.

K-State is at least in a P5 conference and have won a conference championship as recently as 2012. Wyoming hasn’t won more than 9 games since the Clinton administration and Reagan before that.

Bohl walked into a terrible team and had them bowl eligible for a 3rd straight season which they’ve not accomplished in decades. I’d say he’s done a pretty good job.

Bill Snyder still has a lot of control over the program which is why other coaches such as Littrell and Venables backed off.

He had two straight 8 win seasons going into this year which hasn’t been done at Wymoning since 1987 and he’s .500 or better in 3 straight seasons there, which is pretty damn good for a horrible program like Wyoming. He’s been very solid for such a bad situation, but keep using skewed stats to mislead

Good friend is a long-time K-State supporter. The fanbase and the university know that younger Snyder is not competent at all.
