lol. What silence??? They were bragging about having his family visit over the weekend… only to be shocked when the family then visited Baton Rouge.

LSU is no louder than Florida… you just spend time on an lsu message board and not a Florida message board.

Here’s the truth about the programs…. One has been a revolving door of coaches since Meyer left in 2010.

Florida has not been relevant since Obama’s first term.

I don’t expect them to all of a sudden fix their issues because it’s a systemic issue.

In state talent has a choice to go to Miami, fsu, Florida… the throw in the convenience of Georgia, bama, and auburn.

All smoke about a deal I’ve seen has been from Florida side. And all national pundits “think it’s Florida”. So how is LSU the smoke? Weird situation all around.

Since anything concrete has happened with him potentially leaving (the family taking visits) and the ultimatum that was or wasn't, LSU has received CONSIDERABLY more smoke than the Florida side overall. Florida has picked up some today.

Before that it was just people talking, the vast majority having no real information about anything because there was no information to be had. Is that smoke? I don't think so, maybe you do.

Struggling to understand Lane's and Sexton's actions right now. Especially if he stays at OM.

Fans were bragging? Because the fans have SO much input on this.

Florida's governor isn't talking about it. Florida's WBB coach isn't talking about it. The Florida visit overall was substantially more low-key than the BR one, at least in my opinion.

You’re right, Florida has been really loud about their pursuit of Kiffin

Think you’re giving Florida a bit too much credit here. One of us will think “ha, told you so” once he announces when in reality we were both wrong because there was no “smoke”. Lane just doesn’t know where he wants to go yet.

Personally I lean UF too because its clear both schools are involved with him, he is looking into both, and there is movement in both ADs. You realize LSU has released almost nothing on anyone since they fired Kelly, correct?

Don’t confuse a few fake insiders on this board with actual news.

Everything you’re talking about from LSU’s side is fan driven as well. There has been one (1) official update from anyone tied to LSU and it was Dellenger yesterday. That update was just that LSU and Lane have spoken basically.

You seem to be very confused.

ETA: Just last week Pate was saying it’s all Florida. Apparently today ESPN is saying it’s all Florida. Finebaum said it’s all Florida.

I’m really not sure what smoke you think you’re seeing from LSU’s side.

Two possibilities here, which one is most likely?

1. Pate knows that Lane won't make a decision during an Ole Miss off week, but will do it during the beginning of Egg Bowl Week.

1. Pate is putting this off to next week to generate more engagement with his platforms.

I think this is really it. I think Lane and family want Florida for non football reasons (nostalgia, better than BR, family ties, Spurrier idolization). I think Lane wants LSU for football reasons (money, in state talent and lack of competition for it, night games) And then he has Ole Miss, a place he does love and doesn't want to f over, in the playoffs and he may not even be able to coach them there. All of this while balancing his families feelings (like his son's football future), his greedy agent's advice, etc. It seems like an easy decision to us as LSU fans, but if you've ever taken a job for just more money, you know its not just about money

Of course not.

The hedge about next week is dependent upon what Ole Miss does vs. Miss. State. If they lose, then the CFP is not guaranteed. THEN you could hear something. But unless and until OM is out of the CFP picture, Kiffin won't make a decision. He'll continue to troll and seek attention because he likes it, but he's not abandoning his team before the CFP. He also knows that whatever purported deadline/ultimatum Ole Miss has given is meaningless...because they aren't going to fire him.
