Let me just say this. pray that either Riley brings a great DC to LSU or that Aranda ends up being LSU’s next head coach.

My thoughts exactly. I don’t understand how people lack vision and can’t see the coach Aranda will be in 5 years. He will be hoisting trophies.

Imagine the melt at LSU if Aranda turns into the next Saban at USC or at Fla?

Vandy scored 24 points on offense. 2 were defensive touchdowns and some of those points were in garbage time.

Aranda is an excellent coach and without a doubt my #2 choice. If Riley falls through I hope Aranda is the guy and id be really excited about it.

There is no maybe that Riley will develop the elite of the elite QBs and score points

Recruit enough blue chippers on defense and I don’t really care who the DC is

Exactly why I’m half arse hoping the OU boosters pull some cash out their arse.
You don’t see those kinds of tacticians often. He would lay waste if he came back to LSU

You don’t need an elite defense to win in the sec anymore, remember 2019??

Why #2 without a doubt? Seems to me Aranda's star is rapidly rising while Riley seems to have reached a glass ceiling.

Agreed. The thought of seeing what he could do with Nussmeier makes me all sorts of happy.

Is Josh Pate going to be his recruiting coordinator?

“My #2” Aranda is without a doubt my 2nd favorite choice for the job. Riley being #1.

I’m excited about the LSU offense too, just remain concerned defensively.

You say everyone had to deal with covid in 2020 when I said I should have gotten a pass. Well Aransas gets one too. Every coach and player during covid yr. got a pass. Depending on a persons situation that year ie. O just had an unbelievable season Aranda did too plus kids in school, COVID affecting kids. Many different reasons for 2020 and it was a DO OVER FOR EVERYBODY !

agree with Josh. I’d not mind him at USC, but I don’t want to see him coaching at Oklahoma, Texas or Florida.

Then you are like many of us; there is some doubt as to who the best hire would be.

Aranda is great but would prefer Fickell because of his proven ability to recruit

Look what Aranda did to Aub

Why you keep harping on one game when there is an entire season to reflect on?

I like Aranda and would be quite happy to give him a shot at HC. But his defense shat the bed on multiple occasions in 2019. Texas and bama gashed us, but our offense was too much.

To win in the SEC Dave will need a great OC.

To win in the SEC Lincoln will need a good DC.

Both, are good coaches. But, its easier to find a good DC than a great OC and we already recruit better on the defensive side. I like Dave and would love to have him as our coach but if you are playing the odds Lincoln should be 1A and Dave 1B.

That is no slight to Dave, I think he will be a great HC wherever he goes.
