Two questions:

1. Do you agree Jon Gruden would be a phenomenal hire that would rock the sports world?

2.It’s too risky because of the cancel culture in which we live?

Ignoring everything thing else. What has Gruden done recently in reference to coaching that makes you think he would be a good hire?

Gruden was a better TV analyst than he was a coach. It would be like hiring Herm Edwards or Jim Mora, Jr. I've never understood the fascination with him. Typical Raiders hire.

What college players would be excited about playing for him now?

So Gruden says (documented in emails) a bunch of things that most of us know would get us fired from our own jobs.

He gets called out for saying these things and people acknowledge that it's not okay.

And you're suggesting that the people who said it's not okay are the ones to blame for Gruden not having a ton of job offers right now?

i never understood the fascination with him.
outside of a couple years, he’s basically a .500 coach.

and he’s never been a college guy so no clue how he would do recruiting.

Not saying he would be a good hire for lsu, he probably would be, but he flipped the raiders around and is a great offensive mind.

He's suggesting that people are pussies, let's hear some unedited Mic'ed up footage from the field and the sidelines.

Oh yeah I'm sure young black high school players can't wait to play for him.

I don’t understand how people continue to ignore this major factor.

I think he’s saying Gruden lost his job beciae of what he said.

Does that mean he should never be employed ever again because of what he said? Regardless of content, today’s cancel culture is ruining this country.

Pussy arse people won’t touch him now in fear of the mob coming after him. Pussies.

OR maybe the idea that players have to want to play for a coach and what he said may affect the locker room in a negative way.

For 3 whole games.

And he went to overtime in 2 of those three against the Ravens and the Dolphins

No one is stopping anyone from hiring him but it was be a pretty brazen PR move to bring a guy with that baggage to be the face of your football team as a HC. Don’t confuse teams unwillingness to hire him as the same thing as him being barred from being hired
