Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about this. It brings up a lot of questions.

Would we lose Howard?

Would we then likely get Arch?

Would all our current QBs enter the portal?

Just how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?

This is why Oklahoma isn’t throwing the bank at Riley. They think Heupel can do just as well.

He’s the next star qb in college, eventual heisman winner. you take him if he wants to come. Howard hasn’t played a snap in college

Stoops fire Heupel when he was the OC. It was a bad breakup and word from their board is that he wouldn't consider going back.

Because OU would never hire him.

Is there bad blood? He appears to be a very good coach and has Tennessee pointed in the right direction immediately. He also sustained the success Scott Frost had a UCF.

The howard stuff is crazy even if CW transfers in this storyline.

He may be better or not ready at all. No one can predict that.

so with your logic and concerns we should only get 1 good qb in recruiting every 3 years in fear of other great prospects in different classes choosing elsewhere. Good thing you’re not a coach

Howard would probably RS and makes sense. Nuss backup and Max transfers

I think Nuss would also transfer if Caleb comes too. Just have to search the portal for a decent backup. Malachi Nelson 2023 QB would most likely decommit from Oklahoma to follow Riley.

Ask Scott Frost how well going home works.

Yes, there’s bad blood.

Heupel was a mediocre OC at OU but it wasn’t entirely his fault. Bob wanted the offense changed and really didn’t have the pieces. Anyway, OU needed a scapegoat for their struggles. Instead of axing his brother Mike for the poor defensive struggles/performances, Bob chose to fire his former NC winning QB. Neither party is very keen on each other and OU fans would be pissed if Heupel was a serious candidate. OU fans, for the most part, do not like Heupel as a coach.

Not immediately. He'd be competing against the best and learning from one of the best.

If Riley comes, CW transfers, and Walker Howard goes elsewhere, I would think Arch would be an absolute mortal lock for LSU.

Caleb Williams and Arch Manning for Walker Howard…

No brainer.

All a huge IF. I want Walker very bad, but if this would happen holy cow.
