Three BCS bowls in first three years...down year this year, but spanked UCLA last week.

This is obviously a list of LSU's candidates to replace Miles in code. I'm shocked you guys can't see that.

Especially with Notre Dame absolutely flooded with money. It is one of the richest schools in the country, for athletics as well as overall.

Overpaid or underpaid is completely subjective. You're only truly "worth" what someone is willing to pay you. Obviously for A&M Sumlin is not overpaid. It was worth it to them to pay 5 million per to keep him as their HC

Lol at Kirk Ferentz.

People from Iowa can't wait to get rid of him. Only reason he ever got paid so much in the first place and even still has a job is because the most powerful boosters are all older guys who remember the days before Hayden Fry when Iowa was winning 2 or 3 games a year in the 60's and 70's

I would vote on a state tax increase to pay Les more. Give More To Les- wouldn't that make a great yard sign?

Was looking at that list last night. It's a great way to get a quick look of who is coaching where and for how much.

Me, I like that guy at Appalachian State, Scott Satterfield

He's about two or three years from making noise, not that the team will be a top tier team, but that he has the coaching skills.

quote:

Appalachian State ranked among the nation’s top 25 in total offense, passing efficiency, passing yardage and scoring and, for the first time in school history, produced a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard rusher and 1,000-yard receiver in the same season.

Sounds familiar and sounds like my kind of guy.

They don't disclose most of his salary/bonuses. They don't have to. Its private.

Vanderbilt rarely releases full details on coach salaries.

SEC schools like to pay their coaches well...perhaps that is one reason for coaches wanting to come to the SEC.

shoot yea. the HC salary wars started with Saban and LSU. his deal that if he won the NC he would get a raise to be the highest paid coach in college. the bar continued to rise after that. the HC is the most important job in the business.

I am excited to know who is the first ten million a year coach.

Or if money needed to pay players will hit the bottoms lines in a big way before we get that far.
