I don’t see why everyone buys into all the media BS..Good ADs can keep things under-wraps…no leaks.
Aranda was offered a new contract but hasn’t signed it…
He is exactly what we need, great coach, class, professional, stable…

He makes sense except for the fact he just doesn’t seem like a guy that would bolt after only two seasons. He’s sort of the antithesis to the Lane Kiffin type, or at least seems that was on the surface.

He was right about it not being Riley, so yea. Aranda hasn’t signed extension yet either. Which is weird because they’re in the big12 championship game so if he’s not leaving he would have signed it already.

I agree and him Agreeing in principle to his contract but not signing it is kind of odd to me.

If that is an absolute criteria for him the he isn’t a good AD.
Aranda can coach. That’s all that should matter.

It would be extremely silly and self-defeating for Woody to pass on hiring a very good coach like Aranda simply because he coached under O for a few years. Aranda is not an "O guy" (or a Miles guy). He was run off by O's meddling, for goodness sake.

For all we know Aranda and Woody had a great relationship and he was always going to hire him as long as he had success and he found a way to get rid of O.
Whoever is hired was on the board months ago, he fired O as soon as he got a chance....if he wouldve got hot and won it would have been hard to get rid of him....so he was fired to hire the person that is already hired. That person is directing recruiting and is already lined up a staff.
I have no idea who that is, but Aranda and Rhule both make great sense in this regard.
