Just that he expects Aranda to stay and they have a great relationship and he's proud to be a tiger

Definitely didn't sound like it was a fact

The sad truth of it all is that no matter how successful Aranda has been this year, if he leaves these Pro-O super fans will denegrate him and say that they don't want him, that he sucks, and his heart wasn't in it. They'll then settle for a sub-par DC and make excuses for his underperformance.

If Texas calls, then we need to beat whatever they offer. Even if it's 3mil. I'm dead serious.

"We will not get into a bidding war"- Joe Alleva in today's presser regarding the HC

I don't see why DC would be any different

Alleva doesn't get it

the hierarchy doesn't work anywhere near the way you think it does.

the "boss" part was more a symbolic statement

Aranda is about to be under the command of a much less intelligent and vastly inferior coach. i can only wait to see how this unfolds when there is a disagreement in a tense game situation

Part of me assumed Oregeron got the job with the agreement that Aranda stays for at least one more year.

I'm not so sure anymore.

On the plus side, if Aranda goes, a sub .500 season is possible which actually could send Alleva packing in the next couple years.

Do you really think as smart as a guy ARANDA is he's going to wanna stay here under Waterboy? Laughable. Waterboy will lose ARANDA and promote Jenkins to DC and whatever other relics he can dig up

If your close friend was the new HC at a top 3 destination in the country with a recruiting backyard like the entire state of Texas, wouldn't you go??

There was a thread posted last night or so about the idea aranda joining his boy at Texas, and everyone laughed at the notion of it happening...

Lsu has has had shitty luck for some time now..I would not be shocked if he leaves

also, this whole thing shows that LSU is not close to the top tier and doesn't even think of itself as an elite program. what will get you a better HC job: an elite job or a second-level job?

I thought part of the interview was that the staff was in place, with figures set at 2M for Aranda.

Yeah...i would hold off on believing all those "sources".
