Is Kingsbury to Cardinals the most WTF hire ever in the NFL?

I know there is a thread on the hire already. This thread is for hires that just don’t make sense.
Maybe all of modern college and nfl head coaching hires?
Or am I missing something.
Lane Kiffin at least had Monte as an in to the NFL ranks but still was super strange.

What do you expect from the Arizona Cardinals? Kingsbury is literally going to be there to nail hot tail and collect a pay check.

The packers hired the titans offensive coordinator who ranked 27th in scoring. He was the rams coordinator before that and qb coach in previous years.. why isn’t he a WTF hire?
Point being. They are both and recent hires suggest teams want an offensive mind and will help younger coaches with the other stuff. Kliff is a great offensive mind.

Cardinals front office is retarded. This hire gets an F- for me. He won't last 2 years.

Lafluer's a risk but on the WTF scale he's a 1 to Kliff's 100.

Arizona has hot women.
King can tear that place up if he chooses to do so.

He will be fired in 2 years

He is there for Rosen that's it

No he isn’t. He has no HC experience and his only gleaming positive is he was OC under McVay where he didn’t call the plays.. I guess if you’re desperate you could say he has nfl coaching experience but do you really believe that ultimately matters in today’s player circle?

Absolutely

Maybe for a team led by Rodgers who ultimately will dictate what he wants but with
Rosen.. I don’t believe it.. Kliff is more relatable.. more flexible to tailor an offensive philosophy to mold him.. the jets and the cardinals were really good spots for someone of his ability.. he will succeed or fail based on his ability to develop a QB (a skill set he has proven ability in) and the organization surrounding him with an average defense. Ultimately, I’m intrigued by a team taking the road less travelled and not hiring a retread or some unknown coordinator just because he has nfl coaching experience
He could easily fail in Arizona but is it any worse than firing a coach after year one

I nominate Derek Dooley. Both couldn't compete and got HC job at next level.

Failing Upward! Sub .500 Coach, Cant Cut it In College? Hell Yeah! Lets Hire That Dude!

Absolutely, has a coach ever been fired from college to be hired in the NFL?

Kiffin was a bigger one. Went from a college co-oc to hc of the Raiders. No head coaching experience. Never even a coordinator by himself. He was 31 (I think) when he got the job. Easily the biggest WTF in NFL history.

I like it in the sense that it's not a good old boy retread as we have seen for decades in the NFL. Yahoo explained that teams are basically trying to find the next McVay offensive guru.
