Memphis has turned their program into the top stepping stone job in the FBS.

That may sound like an insult, but it really isn’t.

Definitely not. I’d love for the Cajuns to be a perineal stepping stone job for head football coaches getting promoted to P5 HC jobs. It would mean we’re consistently winning.

As a G5 program looking to excel, you really don’t want a coach looking to fall into a retirement type job at your school. You want young, hungry, aggressive guys looking for that next challenge.

Absolutely! Ole Miss, Arkansas and Miss St are not good jobs for a young rising coach. They will never surpass, Bama, LSU, Auburn and Texas A&M consistently enough to keep the fan base happy.

Career coordinators and retread coaches are the best those programs can get. Their fan base do not see their program as a stepping stone for elite programs.

Will Napier stay in Lafayette past this season, who knows. He may take one of the 3 SEC openings, but IMO for a guy who is 40 that’s a mistake.

Especially when Bama, Texas, USCe, Tennessee, UNC, Texas A&M will all likely have new coaches within the next 2-4 years. So taking a job where you get your brains bashed in by Bama, LSU, and Auburn yearly isn’t too ideal.

I've been saying it is napier for a while. They are just pushing lane because they want to feel like they beat Arkansas, and proved they are not an inferior program.

Will Hall would be a guy that Ole Miss could be his dream job. He is a damn good coach too. The fan base would shut a brick though if it came down to hiring him.

6-6, 5-7, 4-8 > 4-8, 2-10, 2-10

Arkansas is a dumpster fire and it doesn't even have the excuse of NCAA sanctions.

Let's do the all time records head to head. Let's do any fricking imaginable time frame besides bert's last year, and 2 years with a highschool coach.

Your program is not better than ours. You ended up with Luke for a reason. You will end up with napier for a reason.

Ole Miss has won more games than Arkansas over the last 30 seasons. Deal with it

To get them over the probation hump.

What was the reason that y'all ended up with Chad Morris?

You sound salty. That's your inferiority complex showing.

As was asked above: give us a reason for Chad.

Just an FYI, Napier is a better coach than either of your programs should get.

Watching Arkansas and Ole Miss fans duke it out to see who’s the best of the bottom of the West is good entertainment.

As far as the rest of the conference is concerned, you guys are splitting hairs. Both of your programs have enough drawbacks to negate any significant advantage over the other.

Vandy, Kentucky, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Miss St are dead end jobs for young coaches. They are perfect jobs for career coordinators and guys like Bobby 2 Hottie who literally screwed his career up.

They should hire one of the rehabilitation projects that Saban has had Sarkesian or Kiffin.

I hope you mean perennial. Historically ull has never been a steppingstone, but one could argue its been perineal.
