You member where Arkansas was when Bobby P wrecked his bike? They'll be there again in a few years.

Yes I do. That was fun because I hated Bobby P LONG before he got to Arkansas. That fall from grace couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.

Whatever.

These low SEC fricks like Arkansas and Ole Miss need to just leave Billy alone for one more year. Don’t let him ruin his career like other head coaches who have gone to those programs.

I'd like to see him stay at ULL just so they continue to win... Unless they play tech.

But I think he'd do well at Ole Miss.

Hey, buddy. I really don't want your little runt coach anyways. There's no doubt in my mind that if he's named the next head man at Ole Miss, we're in the same predicament four years from now.

If you can't laugh at accidentally saying you want your school to be taint stepping stone, I don't know what to tell you. I mean, I think we can all tell it was probably an autocorrect issue. The only reason I pointed it out is because perineal is a funny word.

I disagree with you there. I think Napier would be a good hire. He wouldn't be Kiffin or Norvell but he would be solid.

I think he's every bit as good as Norvell, and can probably put together a better staff.

You can think that. You would be wrong, but you can think it. That’s not a knock on Napier, either. It’s just that Norvell has 1000x more visibility in the sport right now. Also, he has had massive staff turnover every year at Memphis. He has good connections and great instincts when it comes to filling out a staff, which is the reason other teams keep hiring them away. It’s really hard to maintain consistency in a program with that level of turnover, but he did it.

I doubt any high school kids in Mississippi could pick him out of lineup.

I think Norvell is a really good coach, I just don't see him as highly as most folks do apparently.

He’s getting a lot of good 2nd level kids out of MS, and not just North MS. Gainwell is from Yazoo City.

Go look at Memphis’ history. It will be different going forward because they are now in a good conference, getting more money and Norvell has recruited well, but a lesser coach would have slid back coming on Fuente’s heels. Norvell didn’t just hold serve, but markedly improved the program during his time.

Fuente is a great X and O guy and the job he did building Memphis up from the bottom 5 of the FBS is second to none. However, Norvell is night and day a better recruiter and I think he has taken the program further than Fuente would if he had stayed. Because he can recruit well and is proven at being able to build a staff and replace them over time, I would bet money he translates to P5 better.

If it's the big time alumni from Harrison county I know and used to play golf with, Ole Miss would be a lot better off not listening to them.

The ones I know partake in the $$$$ handshakes. Legit did it on the walk of champions a few years back before the LSU game. I was with them at their tailgate and he did it right in front of me.

Nah...I got it. I laughed too.

But these bottom of the barrel P5 teams need to leave our coach alone for at least one more year.

We don't get to cook gumbo and roast whole pigs at our tailgates. What you saw was chicken tender money. Just trying to feed these student athletes man. Did you know they aren't even allowed to make money from their own image?!?!
