If you're reasonable, be fair to Alleva.

We wanted Miles gone. Done. He made Fisher a substantial offer. His agent wanted more. LSU gave more. His agent wanted even more. Alleva moved on and made Herman an offer and had him bagged. Herman's agent blew it leaking the story nationally. Herman wanted LSU to wait on Texas offer for comparison. Alleva told him LSU was not a consolation prize. With a fired up coach already on campus, Alleva told Herman goodbye. He went with O. Alleva tried. Give him a break.

2 month head start and only 2 other serious candidates aside from our interim coach. No Alleva doesn't get a break.

Alleva lacked either the nuts or the pull to fire Miles in November last year, when Charlie Strong was still comfortably the coach at UT.
