haha yeah. Lost to Auburn with Cam Newton and got beat up on by LSU. Great coach, but don't feel he fits in the SEC. He would be great in Big 12 though at Texas. I really hope Texas fires Charlie Strong because I never felt he was a great hire just because they couldn't pull Nick Saban.

I mean Oregon put up ~350 yards against LSU.. and they had 4 turnovers. 16:13 TOP for Oregon..

He's not a bad coach, but I don't think he would fit here at all. I would almost think of it like a rich rod going to Michigan.

Not to mention that was the best LSU defense probably ever.

Man, I felt like I read my own thoughts. Would love to have aranda on D, and chip running the O.

Would sleep with a grin on my face.

My dream would be he leaves San Fran like Petrino left the Falcons with a nice little sticky note saying he's going to lsu. (Pipe dream I know).

Hell, growing up a saints fan too, what 2 better fan bases to have that happen to. Would make a lot of things in the past feel redeemed. Lol

If Kelly jumps back to college ball, I think it will be right back to Oregon, since they'll be looking for a new coach at the end of the season. LSU will pursue Herman, he'll go to Texas, and LSU will wind up with Coach O or Jimbo.

If Chip Kelly isn't good enough you are going to be really really disappointed by the hire in all likelihood.

I'll post what I posted in another thread about CK;

Chip Kelly turned Oregon into a powerhouse with 3* players. Mostly 2* lineman and some 5'8 4* tailbacks here and there. What he could do with LSU level talent would be just unreal.

Their offenses were unreal. They hung 70 on Tennessee his last year there and took a very talented Auburn team to the 4th quarter in that national title game. Hell, LSU's best team in 25 years didn't dominate Oregon the way we dominated every other team that year.

Obviously my first choice would be Herman, but what Chip did at Oregon is nothing to scoff at in CFB.

Wouldn't hate that one bit.
We're actually in a great spot from a search standpoint. Lots of really talented coaches potentially in play.

But... I expect Joe will muss it up and hire someone like Hud.

Kelly admitted during that game that Oregon didn't have the defenses players that were on the field for LSU.

You put Kelly at a school like LSU or Florida and he is steamrolling through shite.

Ole Miss has proven that the best defenses can now be scored on ie Alabama. The problem they lack the depth on defense to continue into the 4th quarter. Would not be a problem at a Florida or LSU.

I hate seeing ppl on here saying "Well he doesnt play defense." when talking about some of the HCs out there who have PS4 offenses.

How many defenders of these teams are in the NFL??

You can create space and advantages offensively but defense is more talent based.

Disagree? Then you tell me how a 2-3 star DB will cover a 5 star stud WR? Coachem up all you want. Talent trumps.

LSU fans.. He hates recruiting. He has little to no personality. He is suited for the NFL with his personality if he survives. If Bama were looking I would become an AU fan if they hired him.

I am not the one saying this stuff bout Chip. I have heard several people who follow CFB say it. He bout sunk the eagles with his Mr. personality. Have you listened to an interview of his. He is also supporting the players who kneel during the anthem.

Well to be fair, EVERYONE got beat up on by LSU that year except one team that we had already beat before
