Could we possibly get Gerald Chatman to come home from Florida? You have to at least ask Freddie Roach at Alabama too in my opinion.

Gerald Chatman would be a homerun. And while I really like A-Rob, he’s going to bolt for the next big opportunity. I really want some stability on the interior DL, even if it’s a step back in recruiting.

Chatman is a good coach but he is picked florida over lsu a couple of years ago.
And he coached with Sumrall at Tulane. I doubt he would leave.

Wasn’t that because he wasn’t promoted to DL coach? Then when we needed one last minute because of DL coach having health issues, that’s when he chose Florida over LSU? And stayed with Napier.

I agree but you still take a shot. I’d also take a swing at Meatball Johnson also. Maybe he wants to come back to college but it’s doubtful. He’s the DL coach for Baltimore so it would have to be a large swing financially. The NFL is so much less work that most guys don’t cone back like Joe Brady.

He’s not coming, his title seems to matter more than salary and talent on hand.
